Insight Investment Astronomy Photographer of the Year is the largest international competition of its kind. Annually showcasing the best space photography from a global community astrophotographers.

Astronomy Photographer of the Year is an annual astronomy photography competition that is organized by the Royal Observatory, Greenwich (part of Royal Museums Greenwich). The title sponsor Insight Investment, a subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon, has sponsored the competition since 2015 as Insight Astronomy Photographer of the Year. Since 2018 the competition has been known as Insight Investment Astronomy Photographer of the Year. The competition’s media partner is the BBC Sky at Night magazine.

Insight Astronomy Photographer of the Year – Prize Details

Overall winner receives a prize of £10,000. Young Competition winner receives a prize of £1,500. Winning images will be displayed in an exhibition at the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
